Why NP&PA Accreditation

NP&PA accreditation demonstrates to the public that a program has met quality standards established to prepare trainees for advanced practice in a clinical setting. The NP&PA accreditation process focuses on self-evaluation and peer-review to support programs in their efforts to enhance and maintain quality and rigor in their residency programs.

Recognized Authorities in Accreditation

The ACEN and ARC-PA are each recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as accrediting agencies, and the ACEN is also recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (ED). The ACEN is the oldest nursing education accreditor, and the ARC-PA is the sole accrediting agency for physician assistant programs. As such, each organization has extensive expertise in education and accreditation, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards.
