Eligibility

To be eligible for joint initial or joint continuing accreditation, the sponsoring organization and advanced practice provider program must demonstrate that they meet or continue to meet all the joint eligibility and continuing eligibility requirements of the ACEN and ARC-PA.

A single institution must be clearly identified as the sponsor of the program and must be authorized under applicable law to provide a program of post-secondary education. It must be accredited by a recognized regional accrediting agency and must be authorized by this agency to confer upon graduates of the PA program a graduate degree.

Sponsoring institutions applying for initial accreditation of a new APP program must be accredited by, and in good standing with, a recognized regional accrediting agency.

Sponsoring institutions which apply for provisional accreditation but whose APP program does not meet these eligibility requirements will not be considered by the ACEN/ARC-PA. See the Policy 303 in the Accreditation Policies for more information.
